We are offering four different seminars over the next month.  Please choose one that suits your schedule.  The dates are September 18, September 23, October 2 and October 7.  All are from 6:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m.  Again, choose one of the four times that best fits your schedule.

You may register through your Small Group Bible Study or via email (just let Karen know who you are and what seminar you would like to attend). We are hopeful that everyone who hasn’t already participated in this seminar will select one of these dates to learn about ‘Every Perfect Gift’ given to them by God.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. What about traffic?

If your answer is yes, or even maybe, then we’ve got good news for you. Life at FBC Belton is hosting a Dodgeball Tournament this September for every college student or college-aged student in the area. The tournament will be Friday, September 26th, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Each team has enough room for 6 players, but there must be at least one guy and one girl on every team. Registration forms are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24th. (Get your registration form here).  Also, there will be a free agent list to sign up if you can’t get a team together, so email your name, number, and all prior dodgeball experience to  to sign up. Each member of the winning team will receive a prize package of gift cards, worth at least $75.

The purpose for Military Family Night Out is to strengthen military marriages by providing childcare for children (New Born – 5th Grade) so parents can enjoy the evening alone.

The class is held on Monday evenings during the school year from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. and is in session from September 8, 2008 through April 2009 with a Christmas and spring break.  There is a $25 registration fee for the class.

Our Children’s Choirs will begin their new year on Wednesday, September 3 from 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm. The choirs will rehearse every Wednesday night and will present Christmas music in December and a spring program in April.

Youth Choirs

Our youth choirs will begin their choir year on Sunday, September 7.

New Spirit (6th-8th grade) will rehearse in the Youth Room from 4:30-5:30pm on Sundays
Agape Singers (9th-12th grade) will rehearse in the Choir Room from 4:30-5:30pm on Sundays

Our youth choirs sing periodically in our evening services and present Christmas music. The New Spirit choir will go on a weekend mission trip in the spring and our Agape Singers will go on a mission trip June 6-13, 2009.

Senior Adult Choirs

Our senior adult New Horizon choir will begin their rehearsals on Tuesday, September 16 (NOTE DATE CHANGE) from 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the choir room.

This group sings in our evening services monthly and presents Christmas music. Additionally, they sing for other churches and will participate in the state senior adult choir festival in the spring.

New Horizon rehearses weekly except the first Tuesday of the month.

Tune-Up meets in room 124 to pick up lunch ($6/pp) then proceed to room 126 for our study by about 12:15 (all are welcome); we conclude by 12:50 to accommodate those who are on a tight schedule. Join us for a great time – and bring a friend!

Today is Distribution Day for Apple Tree at FBC Belton.  We are providing clothes for the first day of school as well as school supplies to over 1,300 kids.  Children will also receive haircuts, eye checks and immunizations.

Thanks to all of our volunteers who have purchased clothes/school supplies, sorted bags, filled out tags, moved bags, handed out bags, and given hair cuts, eye checks, and shots (ugh, no one’s favorite!).

Angel Tree starts soon, so don’t forget to volunteer for that as well!
